You are the Bagman. You move through various mine shafts, picking up money bags and placing them in a wheelbarrow at the surface of the mine. You must avoid guards, jumping inside ore carts, and using elevators. Guards can be temporarily stunned by striking them with a pickaxe or by dropping bags on them when they are below on your ladder. With Bagman, you get three incredible action screens. What score will you get?

The arcade game Bagman was made by the French company Valadon Automation in 1982. Its name was Le Bagnard (English: The Convict). It is the first arcade video game entirely made by a French company. The game was renamed as Bagman for foreign countries (US, Japan, …)
At the beginning, Alain VALADON and Jacques BRISSÉ decided to get inspiration from Crazy Kong, a Donkey Kong bootleg.
Their main idea was to have enemies wandering around randomly until they see or hear the player’s character and start chasing him.
Voices have been added to the arcade game. For example, when Bagman gets a bag of money, he says "à moi l’maggot" (English: Mine is the loot) or when he’s caught, "Aïe aïe aïe !" (English: Ouch).
